Super Junior took their place as kings of the global hallyu wave after successfully finishing off the first Korean solo concert in France.
At 8:00 PM on April 6th (local time in France), Super Junior really hammered home their global popularity at their Super Junior world tour ’Super Show 4 in Paris‘ at the Le Zenith de Paris in Paris, France when 7000 fans from the United Kingdom, Germany, Poland, Hungary and various other parts of Europe all flocked together to see the concert.
During the concert, Super Junior performed hit songs like ‘Sorry Sorry,’ ‘Bonamana‘ and ‘Mr. Simple‘ as well as songs off of their 5th studio album and individual members’ songs.
Additionally, the members all worked hard to prepare some witty French comments that were characteristic of Super Junior in order to connect with the fans present even more. Meanwhile, special guests CSJH Dana & Sunday received a hot wave of cheers for their performance of ’One More Chance.’
Throughout the concert, the audience seemed to be enjoying themselves, as they would get up on their feet and dance and sing along in Korean. The members were especially moved when the fans prepared a special event for the April birthday boys Eunhyuk (April 4th) and Siwon (April 7th), where they suddenly all held up cards that read “We love you Super Junior” and sang them Happy Birthday.
Watching the concert was a fan named Claremont, who shared, “It was an entirely different concert. I cannot forget the feelings of being moved by it.” Audience member and fan Charlotte shed tears as she said, “I can’t believe I saw Super Junior in person. It was the best concert, and I’m so glad that they came to France.“
A recording of this concert in Paris is scheduled to air on an MBC special at the end of April.
In the meantime, having mesmerized Europe, Super Junior now plans to continue to wow audiences with their ‘Super Show 4′ in Shanghai, China on April 14th and Jakarta, Indonesia on April 28-29th.
